Once a paper has been graded, students can view both their scores and a graded paper by going to the My Grades tab and clicking the links associated with their grade.

  1. Go to My Grades. This may be available as a link in the left hand navigation of your course or in the Tools area.
  2. Find the row for the assignment. If the assignment has been graded, you will see your score as well as the total score. Your score will be linked. Click the link to view more information.

  3. If your paper has not yet been graded, you will not see your score yet. Instead, you will see an exclamation point in a green box. This indicates that your paper has been received.
  4. Your results page (see Fig 1) includes your grade, the points possible, the weight of the paper (if the instructor weights grades), instructor feedback and the assignment you submitted. You will also see your own paper attached, as well as anything your instructor has attached to your submission. Sometimes instructors will attach your paper with comments on it. They may also attach a grading rubric or other document.

Fig 1: In the example above, the instructor has provided comments and an attached file. The score is also listed right above the feedback. This example also includes a "rubric". Click the View Rubric button to see what grading criteria your instructor used to assess your paper. Not all instructors use the rubric feature.

  5. If you submitted a SafeAssignment (see Fig 2), you will also see your report. Comments from your instructor will be in the Instructor's Feedback section, as well as any files they have uploaded for you to view. These files may include comments on your paper, a grading rubric or other documents that your instructor would like you to see.
