The Calendar link in Canvas, located in the Global Navigation, will provide you an at-a-glance look at all upcoming course events and assignments.

Exporting the Canvas Calendar

You can choose to export an iCal feed for your Canvas calendar and import it to another calendar, such as Google or Outlook—thus integrating your Canvas due dates into another calendar that you use regularly.

First, click the Calendar Feed button in the right-hand column:

Next, copy the link that is generated:

iCal link. Instructions say Copy the link below and paste it into any calendar app that takes iCal feeds (Google Calendar, iCal, Outlook, etc.)

Follow the instructions below to copy this link to one of the more commonly used calendars:

Microsoft Outlook (Desktop)

  1. Click the Calendar tab.
  2. Click the Open Calendar button and, from the menu, choose From Internet…
  3. Open Calendar from Internet menu

  4. Paste the iCal link and click OK.

Microsoft Outlook (Office 365)

  1. Log in to your Webmail account.
  2. Go to Calendar.
  3. Go to Other Calendars and choose open calendar.
  4. Choose Internet calendar and paste the Blackboard calendar URL.

Microsoft Outlook (Mizzou Faculty/Staff Webmail)

  1. Log in to your Webmail account.
  2. Go to Calendar.
  3. Click Share and scroll down to Add Calendar…
  4. Add Calendar in Microsoft Outlook webmail interface

  5. Choose Calendar from Internet and paste the iCal link. Click OK.

Google Calendar

  1. Under Other calendars, click the down arrow to expand the menu. Choose Add by URL.
