VoiceThread Mobile

VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show (images, documents, and videos) that allows you to navigate slides and leave comments in 5 ways – using voice (with a mic or telephone), text, audio file, or video (via a webcam). The mobile app allows you to view, create and comment on VoiceThreads from your mobile device.

Explain Everything

Explain Everything is an easy-to-use design, screencasting, and interactive whiteboard tool that lets you annotate, animate, narrate, import, and export almost anything to and from almost anywhere. Screencasts may be exported as MP4 files. The company has moved to a subscription-based model, but, the older pay-one-time version is still available, just searc the App/GooglePlay store for "Explain Everything Classic."

iClicker Reef

iClicker Reef is a mobile student response app that provides the same functionality as iClicker student response remote on their mobile device.

Turnitin Feedback Studio

As an instructor, you can grade Turnitin assignments on iPad by providing feedback, grading with interactive rubrics, adding a voice comment, viewing an originality report, etc. All Turnitin grading options are supported except E-Rater. While this app has student features, they are not supported as part of our Canvas integration. Students can submit Turnitin Assignments through the Canvas Student app.

Top Hat 

Top Hat is a classroom and student response system that is used to increase student engagement during lectures using their mobile phones. It may also be used to deliver interactive OER textbooks. Instructors may deliver Top Hat sessions from their device, including displaying files and other content on their students phones, tablets, and computers.

Zoom is a web conferencing product used for virtual classes, student group work, virtual office hours and many other purposes. It works great via the app or on a desktop or laptop. It is recommended to make sure you have the most stable network connection possible.
